
Born in New Zealand and grew up in the Province of Taranaki, North Island, New Zealand, Brother Steve Hogan (Bro. Steve) was first connected to the De La Salle Family when he attended Francis Douglas Memorial College, a boarding school in Taranaki that was run by the De La Salle Brothers. After secondary school graduation, Bro. Steve had completed his Degree in Economics & Geography at the Auckland University. Throughout his study at Auckland, Bro. Steve had remained in contact with the De La Salle Brothers by helping at the homework centre at the De La Salle College in Mangere, Auckland, which has subsequently paved his way to eventually joining the Brothers in 1980.
Throughout the 80s and 90s, Bro. Steve had worked in different LaSallian schools based in New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and Adelaide. Bro Steve had served as the VP Curriculum at a new LaSallian school in Bankstown, Sydney from 2000 and 2003. In 2005, Bro Steve had accepted the post as the Principal of De La Salle College, Mangere, the largest catholic school in New Zealand. In 2010, Bro. Steve has accepted his latest role as the Principal of La Salle College (LSC), Kowloon, Hong Kong.
As the LSC new Principal, Bro. Steve is committed to continue to maintain strong work relation with the overseas LSCOBA. The GR2012 Organizing Committee is honored to be able to invite Bro. Steven Hogan to serve as special guest for our Global Reunion to be held in Richmond, BC between August 2 and August 5, 2012.
